Inheritance — parent trait → possible child traits
Derived from the EVENTCLASS_TRAIT_INHERITANCE events in
eventStory.xml ("Like father, like son"). Each event needs a
living non-leader parent with the trait; it can fire on that parent's child
in the line of succession at the listed age (5% eligibility roll per turn
via iProb). The single option grants one of the three
candidate traits, picked at random among those the child can legally gain
(Character.doRandomTrait). Trait 1 is always the parent's own
trait. Note the "Mother's/Father's Disposition"
Study Events are a different mechanic —
they pass on ratings (±1 Charisma etc.), not traits.

Personality matrix
The personality matrix as it ships in trait.xml. Each trait shows
its polar opposite (which it overwrites if granted), the character rating it
shifts, and the modifiers it applies — including the family-head opinion bump
so you can see at a glance which traits help a courtier rise to head their
family.
